Job Details:
• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour PM/night shifts: primary shift times are 11:00 AM–11:00 PM with flexibility to 2:00 PM–2:00 AM or 5:00 PM–5:00 AM occasionally; night shifts run 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time; call back minimum is 2 hours
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Work in a fast-paced Trauma Level II, 18-bed emergency department unit
• Specialties include stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory
• Patient ratio of 3–4 patients per nurse
• RNs are responsible for drawing labs and performing nebulizer treatments
• Radiology staff and respiratory therapy available on-site in the ED
• EPIC electronic charting required; Pyxis medication dispenser used
• Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience (firm requirement)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: any color

This facility is a Trauma Level II hospital housing an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and equipped to handle a wide range of specialties including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases. The emergency department operates at a fast pace with in-house laboratory services, on-site radiology staff, and respiratory therapy available to support the clinical team. The facility utilizes EPIC for electronic charting and Pyxis for medication dispensing, reflecting its commitment to modern, efficient patient care.
