Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an immediate start date
• 12-hour variable shifts with the majority of shifts running 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• PM shifts may start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time and a 2-hour minimum call back
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Work in a fast-paced Trauma Level II, 18-bed emergency department with stroke certification and services including cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory care
• 3 to 4 patients per nurse with responsibilities including drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispensers
• Respiratory therapy and X-ray staff available on site in the emergency department
• EPIC electronic charting experience required
• Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience – FIRM requirement
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate degree or certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color

This hospital is a Trauma Level II facility featuring an 18-bed emergency department with stroke certification and a comprehensive range of specialty services including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory care. The emergency department operates in a fast-paced environment supported by in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy staff, and on-site radiology, providing well-rounded support for both clinical staff and patients.
