Opportunity:
RN – ICU
Job Details:
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float between Medical Surgical ICU and Neuro ICU units with possible float to other critical care units and other inpatient units as needed
• Primary patient ratio of 2:1
• Clinical lead on site 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7 days per week
• CNAs and LPNs available to assist RNs
• Provide care for stroke patients, cerebral monitoring and drains, ventilators, drips, chest tubes, spinal drains, JPs, and some CRRT patients
• Care for patients with conditions including sepsis, respiratory failure, and alcohol detox
• Due to geographical area, may see logging accidents, motorcycle accidents, and snowmobile accidents depending on time of year
• Low census permitted in hour increments; unit typically low censuses in 4-hour increments
• Picking up call is permitted but not required; 1-hour response time if picking up call
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg and ICU experience required
• Strong Neuro experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS
• CCRN preferred but not required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of facility

This facility is a Level 2 trauma center featuring a 16-bed Medical Surgical ICU unit. The facility provides comprehensive critical care services including stroke care, neurological monitoring, and treatment for a wide range of complex medical and surgical conditions. The unit is supported by a strong clinical leadership team and auxiliary nursing staff, ensuring collaborative and high-quality patient care around the clock.
