Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable shifts with the majority of shifts running 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with occasional flex shifts from 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• PM shifts may start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time; call back minimum is 2 hours
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Work in a fast-paced Trauma Level II, 18-bed emergency department unit
• Patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and providing care across cardiac, neuro, stroke, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
• Charting performed using EPIC; medications dispensed via Pyxis
• Respiratory therapy and X-ray staff available on site in the ED
• Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience – FIRM
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color

This healthcare facility is a Trauma Level II emergency department with 18 beds, offering comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties including cardiac, neurology, stroke, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory services. The facility is stroke certified and operates in a fast-paced environment supported by in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site radiology staff. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes modern technology including EPIC electronic charting and Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
