Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• 12-hour variable PM/night shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Call back minimum of 2 hours
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Work in a fast-paced Trauma Level II, 18-bed emergency department
• Patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and providing care across specialties including cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory
• Charting experience with EPIC required; Pyxis medication dispenser utilized
• Radiology staff and respiratory therapy available on-site in the ED
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 3-6 months of prior travel experience – FIRM
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: Any color
Facility:
This facility is a Trauma Level II hospital featuring an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and equipped to handle a wide range of specialties including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory care. The emergency department operates at a fast pace with in-house laboratory services, on-site radiology staff, and respiratory therapy support. The facility utilizes EPIC for electronic charting and Pyxis for medication dispensing, providing a well-equipped environment for experienced emergency nursing professionals.
