Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours in a 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Call back minimum is 2 hours
• May be required to float to additional locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 3-6 months of prior travel experience (firm requirement)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Work in an 18-bed Trauma Level II unit that is stroke certified and serves cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients
• Fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispensers
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on-site in the emergency department
• Associate degree or certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Scrub colors: any color
Facility:
This facility is a Trauma Level II emergency department consisting of 18 beds and offers a wide range of specialized services including stroke certification, cardiac care, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory care. The emergency department operates in a fast-paced environment supported by on-site X-ray staff, in-house laboratory services, and respiratory therapy. The facility utilizes EPIC for computer charting and Pyxis medication dispensers to support clinical operations.
