Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• 13-week contract
• 12-hour variable PM/night shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours in a 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Call-back minimum is 2 hours
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 3-6 months of prior travel experience firmly required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Pyxis medication dispenser experience required
• RNs are responsible for drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and working within an 18-bed unit
• Unit specialties include stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory care
• Fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on-site in the ED
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: Any color

This facility is a Trauma Level II designated hospital featuring an 18-bed emergency department that provides comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties including stroke, cardiac, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory conditions. The emergency department is stroke certified and operates in a fast-paced environment supported by in-house laboratory services, on-site radiology staff, and respiratory therapy. The facility utilizes EPIC electronic charting and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to support its clinical teams in delivering high-quality patient care.
