Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• Weekend rotation of 1 weekend per month required
• No on-call or holiday requirements
• Up to 7 days of time off may be approved
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Treat patients of all ages
• RN patient ratio of 1:4 for both days and nights
• Tech patient ratio of 1:8 for both days and nights
• Critical care level skill set required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC/TNS, and CPI or MOAB
• Charting system: EPIC EMR
• Equipment used: Alaris IV Pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, GE Monitors
• Scrub color: Any solid color, professional attire – no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available
• Support staff includes charge nurse with reduced patient assignment, hospitalist in-house 24/7, ED MD in-house 24/7, HUC 24/7, and phlebotomy assistance for peripheral blood draws
Facility:
This medical center is a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, as well as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility operates a 74-bed emergency department with a 21-bed main area plus a 6-bed annex, and maintains an active Forensic Nurse Examiner program with an RN on-call 24/7. The emergency department is fully supported around the clock with dedicated hospitalist and ED physician coverage, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for patient care.
