Opportunity:
Occupational Therapist – Occupational Therapy
Job Details:
• 8-hour day shifts with variable scheduling
• Self-scheduling is not allowed
• Required to work weekends and holidays in rotation with core staff, with compensatory days scheduled
• Possible on-call responsibilities
• Approximately 9 evaluations per day and 16 treatments per day per therapist
• Work across multiple care settings including adult and pediatric acute inpatient, adult and pediatric ICUs, and adult and pediatric acute inpatient rehab
• Treat patients across a wide range of diagnoses including trauma, neuro, ortho, general med/surg, oncology, stroke, and joint programs
• Perform ADL evaluations and documentation justifying next level of care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Flexibility and strong teamwork skills required
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Any solid color, clean and professional
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Wisconsin state license required prior to start
• Must clock in and out at the facility
Facility:
This acute care facility is a Level 2 trauma center offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services. The facility operates a primary stroke center, same-day discharge joint program, adult and pediatric inpatient rehabilitation programs, and a stroke specialty program. The occupational therapy department supports a high patient volume of approximately 120-150 patients per day across multiple specialty units, working collaboratively with rehab aides and COTAs.
