Opportunity:
Ultrasound Technologist – Ultrasound Tech
Job Details:
• Perform general, vascular, and OB ultrasound studies
• Conduct neonatal head and abdomen scans, liver duplex, and a large number of pelvic and vascular studies
• Average daily caseload of 6 to 14 patients per technologist
• Work in a facility with 3 general rooms, 1 vascular room, and 1 ED room
• Float to perform bedside portable ultrasound throughout the hospital
• Mostly set schedule with weekend rotation based on department needs
• Holidays worked if they fall on a regularly scheduled day
• No on-call requirements
• Orientation includes NEO and 2 to 3 shifts in the department
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted with trauma experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ARDMS-OB, RVT, and ABD
• Experience with general, vascular, and OB ultrasound required
• Charting system: EPIC EMR
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• PACS: Change Healthcare
• Unit equipment: Logic E9, Logic E10, Parksflow, GE Scanners
• Scrub color: Any color; no denim or camouflage, professional appearance required
• Free parking available in designated employee areas
Facility:
This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and Level III NICU with 228 beds, serving as both an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center and a teaching hospital. The ultrasound department is well-supported with other sonographers on staff, respiratory therapy available 24/7, a lead sonographer, and a rapid response and code team. Management and supervisory staff are available during weekdays to support the team.
