Opportunity:
RN – MedSurg
Job Details:
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• 8-week contract length
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing pre and post-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients on a 40-bed inpatient unit
• Nurse to patient ratio: day/PM 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with highest volume on day/PM shifts
• Unit occupancy runs 90-95% during the week with average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care needs based on acuity, and work as a team
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

This facility is a fast-paced inpatient hospital that includes a Post Surgical Care Unit providing care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. The 40-bed unit operates at high occupancy rates and supports a high volume of daily admissions, requiring skilled and experienced nursing professionals. The facility maintains a strong commitment to quality patient care and utilizes modern technology and equipment to support clinical operations.
