Opportunity:
RN – MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census eligible in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour increments
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients in a 40-bed inpatient area
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10 to 15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week
• Average patient length of stay is 2 to 3 days
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days and evenings, 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Must have ability to multi-task and prioritize patient care needs based on acuity
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
• Recent hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

This facility is a fast-paced acute care hospital featuring a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit that serves pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients along a continuum of care following PACU recovery. The hospital maintains a high occupancy rate and provides trauma Level II services, supported by modern technology including Epic EMR and Alaris pump systems. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality, team-oriented patient care across all inpatient units.
