Opportunity:
Physical Therapist – Physical Therapy
Job Details:
• Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 4×10-hour shift schedule (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM) may also be considered
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Treat an average of 10-12 patients per day
• Cover acute inpatient, Swingbed rehab, and outpatient areas
• Typically 2-3 hours of inpatient and Swingbed coverage per shift followed by outpatient coverage
• Treat primarily orthopedic patients (post-surgical, general pain), neurological conditions, balance impairments, and generalized weakness
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced, busy environment
• Minimum 1 year of experience outside of clinical rotations required; 3 or more years preferred
• Inpatient experience preferred; candidates with outpatient-only experience will be considered
• Prior experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Dress code: scrubs or business casual attire acceptable; closed-toed shoes required
• Orientation begins on day one with one-on-one training with manager and computer-based training; 1-2 days with a preceptor expected with independent patient care beginning by day 2 and full caseload by day 3
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and Wisconsin state license

This medical center is a full-service healthcare facility offering a range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute inpatient care, Swingbed rehabilitation, and comprehensive outpatient therapy. The physical therapy department is supported by a dedicated manager and rehab aide staff, and utilizes Cerner as its charting system. The facility emphasizes a collaborative, hands-on approach to patient care and maintains a structured orientation process to ensure new staff are well-prepared from day one.
