Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour day shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• May be required to float to additional locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Possibility of on-call shifts, asked in advance but rarely occurs
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred; if no prior travel experience, 2 years of Trauma Level I or II experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Work in a fast-paced 18-bed Trauma Level II unit with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Unit specialties include stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispenser
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on-site in the ED
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
Facility:
This facility is a Trauma Level II hospital housing an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and equipped to handle a wide range of specialties including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases. The emergency department operates as a fast-paced environment supported by on-site X-ray staff, in-house laboratory services, and respiratory therapy, ensuring comprehensive care resources are readily available to clinical staff.
