Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour day/PM shifts with shift start times of 5:00 AM-5:00 PM, 9:00 AM-9:00 PM, 10:00 AM-10:00 PM, or 11:00 AM-11:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Possibility for on-call assignments, asked in advance but rarely required
• Work in a Trauma Level II, 18-bed unit in a fast-paced environment
• Treat a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
• Patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and working with Pyxis medication dispensers
• Charting experience with EPIC required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred; if no prior travel experience, 2 years of Trauma Level I or II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate degree or certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Any color scrubs acceptable

This healthcare facility is a Trauma Level II hospital featuring an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and equipped to handle a wide range of complex medical cases including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory conditions. The facility maintains a fast-paced environment supported by in-house lab services, respiratory therapy, radiology staff on-site in the emergency department, and Epic electronic charting systems.
