Opportunity:
RN – ICU
Job Details:
• Night shift position working 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Block scheduling utilized when possible
• On-call requirement in low census situations on a rotation basis with rare cancellations
• Floating required inhouse to ED, Urgent Care, and PACU as needed, as well as interfacility to Park Falls and Weston
• 20-bed unit serving MS/ICU/IMC patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: MS 1:5 days / 1:6 nights, IMC 1:4, ICU 1:2, Peds 1:3-4
• CNA support available with ratios of 1:8-10 days and nights when possible
• ICU experience with pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to titrate drips including Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, PCA Fentanyl, Propofol, and Norepinephrine
• Must be able to read cardiac rhythm strips and report findings to providers as needed
• Tele monitoring conducted remotely by tele techs in Weston using GE ApexPro CH monitors
• Respiratory therapy support available 24/7 with equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, Servo U ventilators, and Hamilton ventilators
• Charting system: Cerner
• Navy scrubs required for RNs
• Orientation includes 1 day of computer-based training and hospital orientation, plus 1-2 days of on-shift orientation
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• BSN not required
• Must clock in and out at the facility

This acute care facility operates a combined MS/ICU/IMC unit providing comprehensive inpatient care for a diverse patient population. The facility is a Level 4 trauma center offering services across multiple care settings and maintains respiratory therapy coverage around the clock. The organization supports a broad range of specialties including cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary care, as well as pediatric services for stable patients requiring IV therapy or post-operative monitoring.
