Opportunity:
Scrub Tech – OR
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Float requirements between Howard Young, Eagle River, and Tomahawk locations; floating can and will be prescheduled if needed
• On-call requirement of one night per week and one weekend every 4th weekend with call back within 20 minutes; call only at Rhinelander
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius from facility
• Minimum 1+ years of surgical tech experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS; CST not required
• Charting experience with Epic required
• General surgery only; facility has 5 ORs and 1 endoscopy room
• Performs all surgeries except neurology, spinal, and cardiac procedures
• Uses retractors, forceps, clamps, scissors, and needle holders selected according to planned use, type and characteristics of tissue, and size of patient
• Determines specific equipment needed per procedure
• Strong documentation skills required
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, manage change well, and be socially engaged
• Scrub colors provided

This hospital facility is a full-service surgical center offering a wide range of procedures across multiple operating rooms and an endoscopy suite. The facility handles a broad variety of surgical cases with the exception of neurology, spinal, and cardiac procedures, providing a dynamic and diverse environment for surgical technologists.
