Opportunity:
Surgical Tech – CVOR
Job Details:
• Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• May need to work late or come in early depending on case volume and acuity
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• May be required to float to all Central Aspirus locations if needed
• On-call requirements include 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup per week with a 30-minute response time – traveler must be ready and in the OR within 30 minutes
• May occasionally require additional mandated call
• Every 3rd weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• Efficiently set up operative suites for patients and go through case carts to ensure all supplies are available
• Scrub surgical cases in a variety of specialties and turn over rooms for multiple procedures throughout the day
• Work with 3 cardiothoracic surgeons performing approximately 50-60 cases per month
• Cardiac/thoracic experience required; thoracic robot experience also required
• Must be willing to complete downtime tasks such as pulling case carts and cleaning
• Facility uses Epic charting
• Scrub colors: any color accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, CST license required – NBSTSA or NCCT accepted (AHA or ARC certifications required)
• Required education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or Certificate preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of CVOR experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, manage change well, and be socially engaging
• Must be flexible with an excellent work ethic and motivated during downtime

The facility supports a high-volume surgical environment with a dedicated cardiothoracic surgery team performing dozens of cases monthly.
