Opportunity:
RN – CVOR
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Monday through Friday, various 8-hour day shifts
• On-call requirements include 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup per week with the possibility of additional call on occasion
• 30-minute response time required when on call, ready in the OR – a personal vehicle is required for this position
• Every 3rd to 4th weekend rotation and every other holiday rotation
• 4 to 5 operating rooms assigned per day across 21 ORs covering all specialties
• Strong OR and CVOR circulating experience required
• Minimum of 3 years OR experience with anesthesia experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing required
• Required certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, and Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Experience with Cell Saver and Belmont equipment required
• Required skills include assisting with intubations, fiber optic scopes during intubation, sterile techniques with central lines, assisting anesthesiologist with placement of arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, and Swan Ganz catheters
• Additional skills include starting IVs, drawing labs, setting up medication pumps, and running Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment
• Experience assisting anesthesia with heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries required
• Prior experience with conscious sedation a plus
• Must be flexible, resilient, and able to manage change well with strong critical thinking skills and comprehensive knowledge of all OR cases
• Willingness to complete downtime tasks as needed
• 2-week orientation process with training for additional anesthesia skills as needed
• Scrub colors provided

The facility supports a wide range of surgical services including heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries, providing a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced OR and anesthesia nursing professionals.
