Opportunity:
RN – IMC
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 on days through 2300 and 1:5-6 on nights after 2300
• No on-call or standby requirement unless picking up an extra shift
• Floating to other units as needed based on census
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment required
• Experience with post-procedural cath lab patients required, including management of TR band compression devices
• Experience managing chest pain and post cardiac surgical patients required
• Required certifications: ACLS, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Charting system: Cerner
• Care for cardiac medical and surgical patients including post cath lab (stent, pacemaker, ICD, watchman, mitral clip, TAVR) and post cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacements, AFib, chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, syncope, bradycardia with temporary pacemaker)
• Titrate drips including Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and Dobutamine (no vasopressors)
• 24/7 central telemetry unit monitors all non-critical care patients and reads strips
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for nebulizers, inhalers, CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm; RNs responsible for incentive spirometry
• No self-scheduling; block scheduling based on unit needs with Friday/Saturday/Sunday option available
• No scrubs provided and no required scrub color
• Orientation includes 1 shift of HR onboarding and 1 shift on the unit
• Must clock in and out at the facility
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
Facility:
This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a wide range of specialized medical services. The 3N MS/IMC unit consists of 29 beds and focuses on cardiac medical and surgical care, supported by a 24/7 central telemetry unit and around-the-clock respiratory therapy services. The facility utilizes Cerner as its electronic health record system and is committed to maintaining high standards of patient care across its nursing and clinical teams.
