Opportunity:
RN – ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts, either day shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) or night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation every third weekend, with potential to be pulled off weekend to support weekday staffing needs
• Every other holiday expected
• No on-call responsibilities
• Up to 2 shifts of time off can be approved within contract, with manager approval required for additional shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:2, up to 1:3 for step-down level patients
• Care for general ICU, stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical, and CRRT patients (no ECMO)
• Required skills include arterial lines, cardiac and critical drips, ventilators, BiPAPs, tracheostomies, and code management
• First-time travelers accepted for day shift; night shift prefers travel experience but will consider candidates with several years of experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Charting system: Epic EMR
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• May float to an area with ICU patients in a holding area or potentially to Kenosha if not needed; floating restricted to ICU only
• Orientation includes NEO and 2 12-hour shifts of unit orientation
• Scrub color: Navy blue

Facility:
This facility is a 60-bed Level 3 Trauma center offering comprehensive critical care services. The ICU consists of 12 beds and is supported by a robust team including CNAs, a charge nurse with reduced patient assignment, phlebotomy, an IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, a 24/7 hospitalist, an on-site intensivist from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM seven days a week, and EICU coverage 24/7. Additional support services include occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy.
