Opportunity:
Ultrasound Technologist – Ultrasound Tech
Job Details:
• Day shift Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts (variable 8-10 hour shifts with possibility to work PM shift on occasion)
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week, except during holidays when unit is closed
• 13-week contract
• Perform approximately 10-12 exams per day
• Weeknight call required 2-3 nights per month
• Weekend call required 2 weekends per 13-week contract, staffing Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with call coverage from midnight Friday to 6:45 AM Monday morning
• Call response time: 45 minutes
• May be required to float to additional locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Perform general ultrasound exams including abdomen, small parts, GYN, and OB including fetal anatomy scans
• Must have experience performing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester OB exams including OB anatomy scans
• Experience with appendix, pylorus, and fetal brain examinations preferred
• Work with 4 ultrasound units (Philips EPIQ Elites) in a hospital setting
• No DVT exams, breast ultrasounds, or IR-guided procedures performed in this unit
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required
• Required certifications: ARDMS certifications in ABD and OB/GYN, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• High school diploma required; Associate Degree or Certificate preferred
• Holiday rotation required every other holiday
• Previous travel experience not required
Facility:
This facility is an approximately 250-bed hospital and Level II trauma center operating in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ultrasound department operates independently from echo/vascular, breast health, and interventional radiology departments, maintaining a strong focus on general and OB ultrasound services. The facility is licensed for 300 beds and utilizes modern Philips EPIQ Elite ultrasound equipment to deliver quality patient care.
