Opportunity:
RN – Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Work with L&D patients 35+ weeks gestation, GYN surgeries, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for laboring patients and 1:3 for couplets, antepartum, and surgical patients
• Perform NSTs, triage, postpartum and newborn assessments and care, and nursery care
• Every other weekend rotation required
• On-call schedule varies based on contract
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be approved
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM
• Utilize EPIC EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing
• FHM available at bedside and nurse's station; no telemetry
• RN is responsible for drawing blood
• Support staff includes Charge RN, Resource RN, and RRT with OB MD available within 30-minute callback time
• May float to inpatient units to act as a sitter or in a CNA role as needed
• Scrub color: Any color permitted
Facility:
This facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 64 total beds, offering a comprehensive range of medical services to the community. The Women's Health and OB unit features 8 LDRP and antepartum beds, providing specialized care for labor and delivery, gynecological surgeries, antepartum, and postpartum patients. The unit is well-supported with dedicated charge and resource RNs, rapid response teams, and modern technology to ensure high-quality patient care.
