Opportunity:
RN – Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers considered on a case-by-case basis
• Care for Labor and Delivery patients 35+ weeks, GYN surgeries, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for laboring patients; 1:3 for couplets, antepartum, and surgical patients
• Perform NSTs, triage, postpartum and newborn assessments and care, and nursery care
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM
• Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• FHM available at bedside and nurse's station; no telemetry
• RN responsible for drawing blood
• Support staff includes Charge RN, Resource RN, and RRT; OB MD has a 30-minute callback time
• May float to inpatient units to serve as a sitter or in a CNA role
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend
• On-call schedule varies based on contract
• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved
• Scrub color: any color permitted
• Parking available in yellow lines in front of building or near the ED
Facility:
This facility is a Level III Trauma Center featuring 64 beds and a dedicated Women's Health and OB Services unit with 8 LDRP and antepartum beds. The unit provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, supported by a well-rounded team including Charge RNs, Resource RNs, and Rapid Response Teams. The facility is equipped with modern technology and systems to ensure high-quality patient care across a range of maternal and newborn services.
