Opportunity:
RN – MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract beginning 10/19
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to Emergency Department within competency required
• May be low censused and placed on call with a minimum 2-hour call back requirement
• Provide general nursing care for primarily geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Work in a 25-bed Med/Surg unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 during days and 1:6 during nights
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg experience required
• ED experience preferred but not required; ICU experience not required
• Candidates with both Med/Surg and ED experience are highly preferred
• Current Michigan RN license and AHA BLS required
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Strong charting experience with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any colored scrubs permitted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

This healthcare facility is a full-service hospital offering comprehensive medical services to the surrounding community. The Med/Surg unit consists of 25 beds and provides care for a primarily geriatric patient population. The facility utilizes modern clinical systems including Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis, and supports staff who are able to work across multiple departments including Med/Surg and the Emergency Department.
