Opportunity:
RN – Tele
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts available on either day shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) or night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Every other major holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 6-week schedule cycle
• Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio averages up to 6 patients per nurse depending on staffing
• Care for all Med/Surg patient types
• Required skills include tracheostomy care, chest tubes, reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips, Lasix drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and wound vacs
• EPIC EMR experience required
• IV pump: Alaris; medication dispensing: Pyxis
• May float to any Med/Surg unit as assigned by House Supervisor
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• ACLS preferred
• Scrub color: any solid color, no logos
• Free parking available
• Orientation consists of NEO and 1 shift
• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved
Facility:
This medical center is a 277-bed hospital serving the West Allis community and surrounding areas. The facility is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center, a Level III NICU, and a Primary Stroke Center, reflecting its commitment to comprehensive and specialized patient care. The telemetry unit benefits from strong departmental support including CNAs, technicians, HUCs, a Rapid Response Team, phlebotomy services, charge nurses, and centralized telemetry monitoring with a dedicated tele tech.
