Opportunity:
RN – Pediatric PACU
Job Details:
• Evening/Night shifts available in 8, 10, or 12-hour increments
• Shift times of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM or 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM with flexibility
• Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday schedule
• No on-call requirements for scheduled shifts
• Contract length of 13 to 17 weeks accepted
• At least 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel experience required
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher
• Pediatric Telemetry exam must include identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia
• Two attempts allowed to pass the Telemetry exam
• Responsible for independent peri-anesthetic management of complex varied surgical and procedural inpatient and outpatient pediatric populations
• Care for a varied caseload of surgical and procedural patients
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (AHA only)
• Wisconsin RN or compact RN license required; pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission
Facility:
This state-of-the-art pediatric medical and surgical center is a Magnet-designated facility that provides specialized care in a healing environment designed especially for pediatric patients and their families. The facility features nationally recognized pediatric specialists across a wide range of fields and is home to a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and a Level IV NICU. Interdisciplinary support services include IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
