Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg/Tele
Job Details:
• Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
• Two weekends per six-week schedule period, with the option for more weekends if desired
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Wisconsin RN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required – AHA only
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start with the following criteria:
– Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole), no incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks, passing score of 80% or higher
– Pediatric Exam: Identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia, passing score of 80% or higher
– Traveler has two attempts to pass; a third attempt requires submission of a cardiac interpretation review course certificate of completion
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Skills include but are not limited to: blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care, central line blood draw, and use of rapid response/code teams
