Opportunity:
RN – Endoscopy
Job Details:
• Day/Evening shift, 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM
• Weeknight call requirement
• May need to stay past end of shift to finish the day's schedule
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• 2 years of acute care experience in the specialty required within the last 3 years
• Level Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital experience required
• Must be able to perform Moderate Sedation in procedure, and pre/post all levels of care including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Must have recent experience recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, and Bronchoscopy
• Utilizes an RN-driven assessment approach to sedation with patients managed within targeted sedation range based on their Ramsay Sedation Scale score
• Provide care for patients during GI and Bronchoscopy procedures including the administration of sedation
• Serve as an integral part of a surgical team that performs multispecialty procedures
• Assume overall responsibility for management of the operating room to which assigned
• High acuity environment – must be willing to perform bedside procedures in ICU, ED, etc.
• Must be highly skilled in sedation and must sedate bronchoscopies
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (two attempts allowed, with strict passing criteria of 80% or higher)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, WI RN or compact RN license
• CGRN preferred
