Opportunity:
Medical Assistant – Medical Assistant
Job Details:
• Work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• 26-week assignment
• Perform daily lab draws and process and package all labs per correct temperature requirements for ACL
• Monitor lab reports and schedule daily labs, lab prep, and urgent lab draws as requested by providers throughout the day
• Process urgent send-out labs that may need to be transported to the local laboratory for urgent results
• Obtain patient vital signs and report abnormal results to the Registered Nurse
• Perform accurate data entry within electronic healthcare records related to patient care and interventions
• Room patients for providers in a clinic setting and direct patient flow to ensure effective clinic operations
• Administer vaccines and other IM/SubQ medications
• Complete point of care sample collection including phlebotomy
• Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed
• Prepare exam rooms and instruments for examinations and minor procedures
• Perform procedures such as cleansing superficial lacerations/wounds, dressing changes, ear lavages, electrocardiograms, peak flow testing, and other procedures as ordered by the provider
• Document all interventions in the electronic healthcare record
