Opportunity:
RN – ICU – Neuro
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour evening/night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required with some holiday coverage
• 4×12 schedule accepted
• Friday through Sunday block schedule accepted
• Patient ratio of 2:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• 18-bed Neuroscience ICU unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient population
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Minimum 2 years of acute care ICU experience within the last 3 years required
• ICU experience required; neurosurgery experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Wisconsin RN license or compact license required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA only)
• Must have Basic Arrhythmia experience and pass a Telemetry test prior to start
• Must have experience with ICP monitoring or ventricular drains
• Required to work with special equipment including EVD, lumbar drains, and CereLink monitor
• Required skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, ICP monitoring, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, hemodynamic monitoring, titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, post craniotomy and post neurosurgery management, traumatic brain injury care, spinal cord injury care, and CVA/acute stroke management
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams

The Neuroscience ICU is certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and specializes in caring for critically ill adult patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses including stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical resections, and trauma. The unit is supported by nationally certified physicians and a collaborative interdisciplinary care team that values nurse-driven partnership and innovation.
