Opportunity:
LPN – Correctional Facility Nurse
Job Details:
• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays (10:00 AM to 6:30 PM every third weekend and holiday)
• Position is part of the LPN pool and rotates weekends and holidays with the LPN pool
• Provide direct patient care and medication delivery to patients
• Administer medications during nurse pill pass, including warfarin and Hepatitis treatments
• Perform annual health maintenance screenings and routine tests
• Administer facility injections including MAT/MOUD, biologics, nurse controlled insulin, and assist with blood sugar checks
• Conduct restricted housing rounds
• Work in the medication room and maintain adequate medication supply for institution needs
• Manage medication ordering, storage, and proper administration
• Cross-trained in the lab
• Provide emergency support by responding with the emergency RN, cart, medications, and AED
• Maintain accurate documentation including recorded timelines of events, orders, and vitals during emergency situations
• Perform wound care and treatments
• Assist with diabetic foot and peri care
• Complete tasks delegated by RNs
• Must attach 1098s to submission in order to be considered
