Opportunity:
RN – IMC
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with both day (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) shift availability
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Standby/call requirement applies
• No self-scheduling; agency staff typically brought in as variable or straight nights
• Unit is a 30-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, may stretch to 1:5 with sick call or added CNA support
• Common patient diagnoses include cardiac, NSTEMI, post cath lab, AFib, CHF, GI bleed, detox, respiratory distress, and sepsis
• Must be proficient in IV management of nitroglycerin, heparin, diltiazem, and amiodarone
• Post cath lab experience beneficial; arterial line experience appreciated but not required
• Required to titrate drips including nitro, diltiazem, insulin, heparin, and amiodarone
• RT equipment used on unit includes CPAP, BiPAP, and Optiflow
• Telemetry techs are present on the unit and read strips; GE monitors are used
• Charge nurses take up to 2 patients; nurse aides available at a 1:10-12 ratio depending on census
• Floating may be required to Medical-Surgical or IMC overflow in ICU
• Charting system: Cerner
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Unit orientation: Up to 3 days
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), EKG Course
• Must clock in and out at the facility

The unit provides comprehensive monitoring and treatment capabilities, supported by telemetry technicians, respiratory therapy equipment, and a multidisciplinary care team. The organization maintains high standards of patient care with structured nurse-to-patient ratios and dedicated charge nurse support to ensure quality outcomes.
