Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour PM/Night shifts available: PM shifts run 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM, or 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM; Night shifts run 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• No float requirements
• Possibility for on-call on rare occasions; would be asked in advance
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; prior travel preferred or 2 years of Trauma Level I or II experience required if no prior travel experience
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• EKG exam required during compliance
• EPIC charting experience required
• Work in an 18-bed Trauma Level II unit with stroke certification serving cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients
• Fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispensers
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on-site in the ED
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Scrub color: Any color
• Associate degree or certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred

The emergency department operates as a Trauma Level II center and maintains stroke certification, reflecting its commitment to providing high-quality, specialized care. The facility is equipped with modern technology including Epic electronic charting and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to support its medical staff in delivering efficient and effective patient care.
