Opportunity:
RN – Hospice
Job Details:
• 8-week contract with guaranteed 40 hours per week
• 8 and 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• No holiday rotation required
• Patient ratio of 6:1 in an 8-bedroom Hospice House
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and chart changes in patient condition
• Handle phone calls received and conduct death visits when a patient passes
• Charting completed using EPIC (remote client)
• May be floated to Wausau Hospice House if primary location closes during contract term
• May be placed on call for low census hours, with a minimum 2-hour call back if called back to facility
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Minimum 1-2 years of previous Hospice experience required
• Required certifications: WI or compact RN license, AHA or ARC BLS
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any clean and work-appropriate scrubs permitted
• Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

This facility is an 8-bedroom Hospice House providing compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families. The organization utilizes EPIC for remote charting and supports a multidisciplinary care approach, with nursing staff responsible for assessments, condition changes, and patient care documentation. The facility maintains a manageable patient ratio to ensure quality, personalized hospice care.
