Opportunity:
RN – OR
Job Details:
• Day shift position working 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No scheduled weekends
• Weekend call is required approximately 1 in every 4 weekends
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required including General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotics, Orthopedics, and GYN
• Travel experience required; locals within 50 miles of facility not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA only)
• Wisconsin RN license required
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:1 in an 8-room OR suite
• Must be proficient with a wide range of surgical procedures including robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi Surgical System), laparoscopic procedures, total joint replacement, orthopedic cases, gynecologic procedures, and urologic surgeries
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Steris required
• Must adhere to safety protocols including fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Barcode scanning compliance must be maintained at 95% or higher to be eligible for extension
• Bedside shift reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required
• Pass/fail telemetry exam required prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher; must meet 100% identification of lethal rhythms on adult exam
