Job Details:
• Day/Evening 12-hour shifts with most shifts running 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM or 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• Variable shift options include 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM, or 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM for days and 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM for nights
• Weekend rotation required with shifts covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Every other holiday required
• 4×12 schedules and assignments up to 26 weeks available for interested travelers
• Two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
• Must be willing to float as needed
• Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the facility – locals not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA only); NIHSS and TNCC preferred
• Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license required
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher within two attempts
• Adult telemetry exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms and no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions
• Pediatric telemetry exam covers ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia
• Barcode scanning must be maintained at 95% or higher to be eligible for extension
• Bedside Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skills required include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, management of multisystem organ dysfunction, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, IV placement and maintenance, and triage
• Patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Department has 19 rooms with a daily census of 70
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Free parking available on site

This medical center is a community-based facility offering comprehensive emergency department services for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. The emergency department operates with 19 rooms and a daily census of 70, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Level 1 traumas are transferred out, allowing the team to focus on delivering high-quality emergency care in a collaborative environment.
