Opportunity:
Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory Therapy
Job Details:
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Will accept RRT or CRT certification
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Typical caseload of 10-15 patients for general floor assignments and 6-8 patients for ICU assignments
• Perform vent management, CPAP, BiPAP, nebulizer treatments, arterial line placement, and assist providers with intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and ABGs
• Work with equipment including AVEA vents, Servo U Vent, LPU 1200 Vents, Parapack vents for MRI, and Hamilton vents for transport
• EMR system: EPIC
• Medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Float to all units within the hospital as needed
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday assignments as needed
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated
• Staff cannot work more than 60 hours per week or more than 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per fatigue policy
• Overtime may be available depending on facility needs
• Scrub color: Any solid color, professional – no graphics, logos, or designs

Facility:
This large 933-bed hospital is a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU with Magnet Designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center recognition. The facility serves a diverse patient population including primarily geriatric and adult patients, with some pediatric cases seen in the emergency department. The respiratory therapy department is well-supported with a robust team of registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and supervisory staff, with day shift staffing ranging from 13 to 15 respiratory therapists.
